Vikki, designer and daughter of Catherine Best, has been awarded Gold in the prestigious Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards in the Production Jewellery category for this stunning Effervescent design carrying the design excellence of the Catherine Best brand to the next generation.

Created in 18ct yellow gold, one side is  adorned with diamonds that will catch the light at every turn, or depending on how you feel, you can turn your treasure into a wonderfully colourful pendant featuring contrasting vibrant mandarin garnets and green tsavorite garnets.

Vikki’s design included a set of jewellery that was drawn using CAD (Computer Aided Design) and then 3D printed and cast in a variety of precious metals. The innovative idea behind the design allows for it to be double-sided and completely customisable. Different stones can be set on each side of the pendant. While one side could be set with diamonds, the other could be set with a variety of mixed colour stones, allowing for two different looks in one design. The judges considered the pendant to be incredibly innovative in design.
